He also did volunteer work in his Rayong village(east Thailand) kitchen that fed up to 300 people during local festivals . His first job was at the age of 14 at the famous Je Eaw Seafood restaurant in Koa-Chang , where he reached the position of Chef within three years . After this he decided to further his career by attending the Kasets art university where he gained a professional Thai Chef certificate , from the reveerd Viroch Impithuksa . While there Pratumwan was offered the position of chef de partie at The Bangkok Palace Hotel , before being promoted to Thai Chef. Since then he has never looked back in a career that has spanned a quarter of a century.
Pratumwan's interest in food and cooking also extends to saucing the best and freshest of ingredients to create the authentic Thai flavours that we all enjoy on visits to Thailand , as he says: "Coco Thai as a real thai atmosphere so the food should be like at home on my family table!"
